ZEN FRONT GARDEN

This corner plot townhouse had a simple lawn with a curved path leading to the front door. The breif was to create a Zen gravel garden, simple and low maintenance. The issues were that the traditional style railings & gate, the large cherry tree and the curved path all had to remain to satisfy the estate rules.
Low walls were constructed and capped & clad in yellow limestone, matching the lines of the path and the boundary. Boulders were placed, with a few grasses to create minimal interest.

This garden is still there, 18 years later, the lines in the gravel still regularly raked by the original, happy client.
