GRAVEL LINES
Once the children had grown up and bought cars, they were being parked on the lawn of this 1930s detached house, at which point a change was needed! Lots of open space was required, but without making it feel like a car-park; so with subtle use of granite sett lines and planting we succeeded in binding the different elements of driveway, front path and lawn together in one whole.
The existing York stone walls were dismantled and relaid on new foundations and a complete new sub-base and drainage system installed. Resin-bound aggregate was specified but was over budget, so resin-bonded aggregate was applied to concrete bases.
