A MODERN COURTYARD

The design brief for this small terraced house garden was to create a lush space for entertaining which had to be very low maintenance and provide some privacy from nearby houses.

I used simple square shapes for the porcelain paving, oak sleeper raised planting beds and the central oak arch which will, in time, be covered in climbing plants. It is assymetrical to define seating spaces and for
added interest.
